| COMPETITION Sugar has been very successful competing on the swing and country circuits, both for herself and with her students in pro-am divisions. She placed second overall with Robert Royston in the pro-pro division at the 2007 UCWDC World Championships. If you are interested in competing either on the swing or country circuits, there is an appropriate division for your age and skill level. Many students compete with their instructor in a division called pro am. In this division a student, the am for amateur, is dancing with his or her instructor, the pro, for professional. Only the student is judged and scored according to his or her ability to execute what is expected at his or her level.
